Prime Day Baby Buys

As postpartum doulas, we are in a lot of homes and have experience with a lot of postpartum and infant products. We at Rocket City Doulas have a long-standing list of favorites (and not-so-favorites) when it comes to postpartum and infant products. With Prime Day coming soon (July 11-12, 2023) we created a list of our favorite Prime Day Baby Buys!

Our Favorite Prime Day Deals for Mom:

First on our list is a postpartum kit. Frida Mom’s products often make the top of our favorite list, this kit being no exception. WHAT WE LOVE: The pads and pain-relieving foam!
Frida mom makes the list again with this breastfeeding pillow. WHAT WE LOVE: The firmness and adjustability.
These silver nipple shields are one of the more inexpensive options we’ve seen. WHAT WE LOVE: They’re easy to wash and provide protection against rubbing and chafing.
Most people think they are done with the pregnancy pillow once the baby arrives. However, you may continue to find that you’re most comfortable when you’re supported through the night. WHAT WE LOVE: This pillow wraps from back to front! No need for multiple pillows!
While you may find you want the ease of drip coffee in the early days postpartum, Prime Day brings us a deal on the Aeropress. If you find that you’re a coffee connoisseur, or if you like to take your coffee options with you, this is a great option. WHAT WE LOVE: The portability! I’ve taken this coffee maker to hotels across the world! It makes a great cup of coffee with minimal supplies.
Our next item may be a bit of a surprise, as it is certainly a little unorthodox. (It’s not a supply you’re going to see in a curated Instagram photo.) Disposable gloves have come in handy MANY times throughout our parenting journeys. From blow-outs to tummy bugs, we always keep a box on hand. WHAT WE LOVE: Protecting your hands from the yuck, and then just tossing them out.

Our Favorite Prime Day Baby Buys

Even if your baby doesn’t spit up much, burp cloths are always good to keep readily available. (Plus, they can be used as cleaning rags after your baby is grown!) WHAT WE LOVE: These muslin burp cloths are on the larger side, protecting you and your clothes from mess!
A bassinet can be perfect for moving your baby room-to-room with you, and this one has locking wheels to be extra easy to move! WHAT WE LOVE: This bassinet also has the ability to convert to a bedside bassinet. Perfect for staying close to your baby at night!
Speaking of sleep, a white noise machine always tops our list of favorite baby products. WHAT WE LOVE: This noise machine grows with your baby! It has the added feature of being an “ok to wake” clock for when your baby is older.
Yet ANOTHER frida baby product makes our list with the Nasal Aspirator. (There are some conflicting recommendations for nasal aspiration, so ask your provider what they suggest!) WHAT WE LOVE: It’s easy to use!
Our favorite itty bitty baby carrier for the early days is still the classic- the Moby Wrap. While there is a learning curve, once you get the hang of it, it’s easy peasy and keeps your baby nice and snug/close to your body. WHAT WE LOVE: The color options are so fun now! Pick your favorite or one that goes with everything!
If you have other children, or you find that you need a place to safely set your baby down for a few minutes or while you shower, this Multi-Motion swing is a good option (and, of course, on sale for prime day!) WHAT WE LOVE: It has a power adapter! No batteries are required!
If you have a newborn now, in the sweltering Alabama summer, keeping them cool is especially important! This stroller fan wraps or clips to your stroller to help keep your baby comfortable. WHAT WE LOVE: This model also comes with an LED light for nighttime walks or for looking in your diaper bag.
