It’s true.
It’s ok to want an induction.
You are not flawed for wanting an induction.
You do not love your baby any less for wanting an induction.
You are still a wonderful parent.
And if you never thought you’d want and induction and now you do? It is a natural reaction to reach for any little tiny bit of control when things seem out of our control. (And if things have EVER felt out of our control, IT IS NOW!)
It’s still ok to want an induction.
And if you don’t want one? That’s ok, too. You’re an amazing gestator and we’re proud of you!
If you’re facing an induction you don’t want, but need, and that causes some heavy emotions, we’re so sorry. That is so hard. But, you’re a rockstar and doing what you need to do for your baby.
***Your choices in birth are yours. We at RCD stand behind you and your choices and hope that you feel supported by everyone on your birth team.***
Doula Disclaimer: We aren’t discussing statistics and percentages here about inductions, though we’re happy to share with clients who are interested. We’re talking about people and feelings and the freedom for a family to chose what is best for them.
