I’m currently on hold with Delta, hoping to get some kinks worked out before I leave to go out of town tomorrow. I went to check in to my flight and it wouldn’t let me. The hold music is some of the better hold music I’ve heard, which is good since they keep reminding me that my wait time is 4+ hours.
I’m also waiting on a chat to hear back from a representative. (I’m just covering my bases. Whoever gets to me first at this point.)
Unfortunately, this is not my first call to Delta today. The issue, according to their website, is that the name on my ticket doesn’t match my reservation.
I know that I can have chameleon tendencies. I’m outgoing and energetic around crowds but also need quiet and time alone at home. I am bubbly and personable on a phone consult, but I can be serious and quiet when walking into a birth space. I can discuss the benefits of tools of an epidural while STILL completely supporting those who are having an unmedicated birth. I can discuss the risks of things like an epidural while also completely supporting the use of an epidural in labor.
Even though those things seem to conflict, they don’t. Offering the benefits and risks of tools and interventions does not villainize one and reward another. Discussing what formula feeding looks like does not take away from those who are breastfeeding. U
nbiased support is the name of this attribute. It’s not a superpower. It is just is part of who I am. Part of who Rocket City Doulas are. They may not be spelled the same, but that name and attribute are the same across the Rocket City Doulas team.
Unbiased support= Rocket City Doulas.
