I have a weekly ritual of washing and changing our sheets every Thursday. This ritual makes me happy, especially Thursday nights when I crawl into my bed.
Did you know you may experience rituals during labor?
Rituals during labor are ways that people in labor find their “rhythm” and self-soothe.
Rituals can look like this:
Tapping
Rocking
Saying the same phrases or words repeatedly
Singing
Patterns to moans or groans
Hitting your palm on something
Rituals can be part of the birth process, and should be celebrated! Maybe it’s not quite as comfortable as sinking into clean sheets, but we know you’re doing a great job listening to your body!
