Frequently Asked Questions
Why in-home placenta encapsulation?
Our in-home encapsulation process allows you to know exactly how the placenta was transported and stored, and you can be 100% positive that it is YOUR placenta. You can also be as involved (or un-involved) in the process as you’d like!
How do I know how to store and transport my placenta?
Our postpartum placenta specialists will give you detailed instructions on transporting and storing your placenta until processing.
How long does the process take?
Our postpartum placenta specialist will set up a time with you, two consecutive days. Because we also offer two mini-postpartum visits included in our encapsulation services, we allow for 3 hours on the first day and approximately 2 hours on the second day.
Where does the encapsulation take place?
Your Rocket City Doulas postpartum placenta specialist will need access to a few parts of your kitchen: your sink, a countertop, a stove burner, and an outlet to set the dehydrator overnight.
