During the pandemic, a lot of our clients have had to adjust their plans. Sometimes it’s a small adjustment, and sometimes it’s a major adjustment.
There is no official guide book for “how to birth/bring home a newborn in a pandemic”. (Even if there was, we’re guessing it wouldn’t be a one-size-fits-all book.) There seems to be so much more than usual that we don’t have control over. Every decision you have to make may seem scarier or more stressful than normal because of that.
At Rocket City Doulas, we understand that everything is weird right now. We, too, have had to alter our plans.
We are here to support you through your entire pregnancy/birth/parenting journey in whatever way we can. We are currently continuing to offer virtual consults for both labor and postpartum services. We are happy to announce that we are again offering in-home postpartum services for those clients wishing to continue care at this time. At this time all of our prenatal meetings are still being held virtually as well. While we may not be able to be with you in person in the birth room, (as of today all of our 3 local hospitals in Huntsville and Madison are still limited to 1 support person) we are hoping that we can join you soon! However, we are continuing to offer virtual support during labor and delivery via Facetime, Zoom, text, and calls.
Rocket City Doulas can help you figure out a new plan, and support you through it all!
